MTV EXIT Kyokushin 

Indonesian Kyokushinkan Karate Team got the the opportunity to demonstrate the martial art of Kyokushin Karate – Kyokushinkan Style at the MTV EXIT, Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at Square D, Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

MTV Exit (End Exploitation and Trafficking) is a campaign initiated by the MTV EXIT Foundation in cooperation with U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Australian Government's Agency for International Development (AusAID). The campaign aims to combat human trafficking.

The team’s performance began promptly at 6 pm and led by Sensei Anthony F Pajouw (Indonesia Branch Chief), Sensei Merissa I Mesi, Sensei Collins, and followed by other members of Indonesian Kyokushinkan Karate. Some of the actions taken were Kihon, then continued by Sanchin Kata. After that Sensei I Messi Merisa demonstrated the street fighting when she was attacked by four men from four different directions.

Action continued with Tameshiwari, This time by breaking baseball clubs conducted by Sensei Merissa I Mesi (Gedan Mawashi Geri technique) and Sensei Collins  Mawashi Geri technique).After that the other team members performed combat action in real conditions. Action ended with Sensei Merissa I Mesi’s Kumite against four other Senseis and Senpais.

MTV EXIT Kyokushin 

This campaign was going very festive. The audience was entertained by the actions of the Indonesian Kyokushinkan Karate team. Hopefully with this performance can be further action to introduce Kyokushinkan  to the public of Indonesia.
